S2 E5: Falk Brings Passion for Sport Analytics to Italy
Students have a multitude of study abroad options to choose from, including short-term faculty-led courses that travel all over the world. One of these unique opportunities is “Italian Football: Impact and Outcomes,” which travels through Rome, Milan, Florence and Bologna to study the analytics and management of elite Italian Serie A football (aka soccer!) teams. Jackie Dorchester, Program Coordinator, and Francesco Riverso, Program Manager, both in Sport Analytics in the Falk College of Human Dynamics, join Zachary Silverstein ’26, Sport Analytics major, to talk about the success of last year’s experience and how they are evolving for 2025. They talk with Sebastian about once-in-a-lifetime professional opportunities, opening international sport to their students, and, of course, amazing Italian food!
